  • Help train online with CogniFit perception exercises
  • Access this training resource for perception
  • Challenge your brain

CogniFit's perception training program has been designed by an international team of neuroscientists to help our brain improve cognitive abilities related to perception. Perception is a basic ability that allows us to interact with our environment and regulate our organism. However, it can be deteriorated for various reasons, negatively affecting academic, work or personal aspects of a person's life. CogniFit's perception activities can help children, adolescents, adults, and seniors develop their perceptions so that their daily lives can be improved.

CogniFit perception training is a useful material for stimulating, working and rehabilitating different types of perception. It consists of a series of automated online perception exercises that can be performed from a computer, tablet or smartphone. It is recommended to train perception at least three days a week to promote brain plasticity within the areas of our brain in charge of cognitive perception.

CogniFit perception training activities are personalized. This means that both the type of activity that will be presented in each session and the difficulty of the games will be adapted to the user's specific needs. Consequently, the training plan will be unique and designed exclusively for the user. That way, the user can make the most of their training time.

CogniFit's perception training activities have been created to stimulate perception in a reliable way. The perception training program is designed to help children develop their perceptual abilities as well as to enhance, prevent and rehabilitate perception in adults and seniors.

Correct cognitive stimulation may be the best answer to improve perception. CogniFit perception training is an excellent cognitive stimulation tool that can help the user, optimize their perception-related cognitive processes.

Who is it for?

Who is it for?

CogniFit offers perception activities for children, adults and seniors, with or without any disorder. Exercises are designed to strengthen perception in ways that are tailored to the specific needs of each individual. To encourage training, CogniFit has created different platforms:

People who want to improve their perception

Stimulate my cognitive abilities related to perception

There are several reasons why our perception may be affected. If we want to strengthen our perception weaknesses through cognitive perception training, CogniFit's individual platform is our best choice. We will be able to perform our specific perception training from anywhere where there is an internet connection.
Family members or caregivers

Help strengthen my relative's perception skills

If we want to strengthen the perception of a relative, be it a child, an adult or a senior, but we want to be the ones who manage their training and who review their results, we can use CogniFit's family platform. It is ideal for people who are not familiar with technology.
Health Professionals

To help my patients' perception skills

Perception can be altered in a large number of diseases and disorders. Therefore, health professionals are interested offering patients a range of cognitive stimulation activities for perception. With CogniFit's platform for doctors, psychologists and health professionals, patients will be able to perform perception exercises both in therapy and from home (cognitive remote stimulation).
Schools and teaching staff

Explore and improve students' perception skills.

Perception is basic for learning and for gaining academic skills. This cognitive training platform is very useful when some of our students have difficulties with perception, as it allows them to train their weaker perceptual abilities to improve their performance in the classroom.
Researchers and scientists

Study the effects of cognitive training on perception

If you are interested in investigating how cognitive stimulation affects perception, the CogniFit platform for researchers is the perfect option. This platform helps to study perception rehabilitation, the cognitive treatment for perception, or simply the stimulation in people without perceptive impairment. In addition, researchers will have a "control" cognitive training group. Unlike other groups, control group participants will perform different tasks at the lowest level of difficulty, which allows control of certain variables and more consistent research.

Trained cognitive skills

Trained cognitive skills

Perception includes a set of cognitive abilities that allow our brain to interpret the information captured by our senses and relate it to our environment. CogniFit offers perception activities that stimulate and strengthen this process:

Cognitive Domains Trained
Cognitive Skills

Perception

Ability to interpret the stimuli of the environment. Perception is responsible for identifying and making sense of the information received from our sensory organs based on our prior knowledge of the world. Perception is a process that can be given by different senses (like sight, hearing, touch, etc.), and that our brain is responsible for integrating, giving it a sense of whole. The brain areas associated with perception are responsible for uniting the information perceived by the different sensory organs so that we can interact effectively with external stimuli, regardless of the stimulated sensory organ. In order for the perceptual process to be carried out properly, a process of assimilation and understanding of the information received will be necessary.

What will I get from CogniFit brain training for perception?

What will I get from CogniFit brain training for perception?

Cognitive stimulation may be effective in reducing and improving some alterations in perception. CogniFit's visual, spatial, auditory, etc. perception exercises seek:

  • Enhance state of perception: Perception problems can occur in children, as well as in adults or seniors. It is even possible that, without having any kind of perceptual problem, we are interested in maximizing our perception for academic, work or leisure activities. CogniFit perception training exercises are designed to help us strengthen different types of perception.
  • Prevent age-related perceptual problems: Seniors can be healthy however with age cognitive deterioration is normal. CogniFit's perception training can help maintain this cognitive process.

How does it strengthen cognitive function?

How does it strengthen cognitive function?

CogniFit perception training is comprised of a series of online neuropsychological activities that stimulate our brain and cognitive abilities. These activities represent a progressive effort for our perception, which helps to train this cognitive skill.

The areas involved in these perception activities are stimulated as a consequence of the effort made to meet the demands of the training. Brain plasticity is the brain mechanism that will allow our brain to adapt to the demands of the perception training. This adaptation and the changes in brain connections will allow us to use cognitive abilities related to perception more efficiently and with less effort.

However, it's important to note that it's not enough to be entertained by just any game to get results. CogniFit perception training has certain characteristics that favor its effectiveness. It adapts its activities, as well as its difficulty, to our specific needs.

Benefits

Benefits

CogniFit has been working for many years to bring exceptional qualities to its perception training. Perception training is intended to be comfortable to use and effective in stimulating our cognitive abilities. Therefore, perception exercises have a number of qualities:

Easy to use

A number of simple steps are enough to perform CogniFit's perception activities. CogniFit has simplified the perception training so that children, adults, and seniors, healthy or with perceptual difficulties, can use their exercises without difficulty.

Highly attractive

Motivation is an important aspect of long-lasting treatment. For this reason, CogniFit has created perception training activities that are entertaining and appealing, so as to encourage user motivation.

Interactive and visual format

CogniFit has designed the perception training instructions in a clear and interactive way so that they are easy to understand and remember.

Complete results report

It is very important to receive accurate feedback so that we know what we are doing well and what we need to improve. CogniFit offers complete results after each training session so that we can easily know our performance.

Progress and evolution

CogniFit stores all our cognitive results, session by session, so we can see how much we have improved. So, even if we get a bad score in a training session, we can see that our tendency is still positive.

Adapted to each user

CogniFit perception training is personalized and tailored to each user's specific needs. This means that it will not offer two equal training plans for two different people.

Tele-stimulation

CogniFit, besides being easy to use and collect all the data in the system, can be done from anywhere with an internet connection. This allows for cognitive remote stimulation.

What happens if you don't train your cognitive skills?

What happens if you don't train your cognitive skills?

When our perception skills are in a bad state and we do nothing to improve them, we may have problems moving around and interacting with our environment, or we may have difficulty reading and understanding a conversation. All in all, many everyday activities could be affected by this impairment.

If we do not work or stimulate our cognitive abilities there will be reduced activity in the corresponding areas of our brain. The lower the activity of these brain areas, the fewer resources our brain will devote to those areas, so they become less efficient. Thus, our brain will require a greater effort to make the best use of these cognitive abilities, hindering our daily activities.

The time each person must devote to CogniFit perception training may vary depending on the state of our perception and our needs. Each training session lasts approximately 15-20 minutes. CogniFit generally recommends a minimum of 3 cognitive training sessions per week, preferably non-consecutive. However, it would not be a problem to do more training sessions per day or per week.

Each training session consists of 3 activities: 2 sets of cognitive stimulation for perception and 1 assessment task to measure our progress. This way, we will obtain an evolution curve to see our improvements.

CogniFit's activities to train perception are unique. The exercises that make up the specific training for perception are multi-dimensional. In addition, the scores shown after the training are standardized to make them easier to understand. The features that make CogniFit unique have been implemented to optimize the state of our perceptual abilities in a comfortable way.

CogniFit's perception training is able to adapt the type of activities it offers and their difficulty thanks to the patented ITS™ (Individualized Training System) technology. The ITS™ allows each training program to be unique and adjusted to the cognitive needs of each user. This personalization system has been designed by an international team of scientists specialized in neuroscience.

In any case, it is not enough to adjust the activities correctly at the beginning of the training, but it is necessary that the training also adapts to our progress. To do this, CogniFit software collects, stores and processes hundreds of variables during the training session, to adapt to each user's needs and to show a complete report on their activity and evolution.

After each training session, CogniFit shows the results so that we can learn about our progress and our improvements. The data stored during the activities are analyzed and displayed in a simple and understandable way. Thus, we will be able to check our progress from the beginning of our training until today, or even compare it with the scores of other users.
